More than 2500 devotees comprising Paro College faculties
and students, Khangku Middle Secondary School students and teachers, and residents
of Paro received Tshewang (blessing
for long life) on October, 25th 2012, at Paro College ground from His Eminence Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche.
The devotees also received an oral transmission of various mantras, beginning
from taking refuge (Chapdro), Baza Guru (Padmasambhava), six syllables (Mani) and

from Drupthob Thangtong Gyalpo or Ugyen Guru Rinpoche”
Many people with a
smile on their face came to receive blessing and to have a glimpse of Rinpoche.
One of them was an old woman from Khangkhu vicinity, who after hearing about
Rinpochee’s visits to the College she decided come for the blessing.
Tshering Wangchuk, a fourth year student said “It was really a joyous occasion for us to have His Holiness in our College and blessed hundreds of devotees”.
“I made a sincere prayer for the benefit of all sentient beings, who had been our parents once” He supplemented.
